Star of David Pendant with Cornflower Blue Sapphire and Adjustable 16-18 Inch Chain

This Star of David pendant is a limited run, completely unique and new design of a popular pendant style. This style has the triangles interlock in a weave pattern. At the base of the downward pointing triangle is a cornflower blue sapphire from Sri Lanka, embedded into the piece. The sapphire is a way of bringing Israel's colors into the design (blue and white), and also to incorporate a very important stone in Judaism into this piece. The sapphire is what the original ten commandments were supposedly made of. It is also one of the precious stones worn by the Kohen Gadol in the Temple. And, it supposedly has traditional healing qualities, and wearing the sapphire next to one's heart can help bring inner peace. On the back of the pendant, in Hebrew, is inscribed a part of the priestly blessing in Hebrew, translated as "May Gd bless you and take care of you."

From top to bottom, the star is 12mm. All pieces of the pendant are either sterling silver or 14k gold, depending which metal you choose. The sterling silver pendants are ready made and ship immediately while we custom create the gold pendants and that can take a couple of weeks.
