Description : This is an octahedron that has been laser sliced in half. Actually a little less than half - that's the way the lasers cut. Anyway, you can see that one face of this stone is perfectly flat and that's the lasered side, the rest of the stone is the rough diamond octahedral portion. By slicing the stone in half you can see that it is black through and through, and also, you can have a nice and easy to set diamond that costs half the price of its full size yet retains the same look as the full sized diamond.
Source : DTC (the Diamond Trading Company), we are quite certain it is from South Africa but new provenance claim rules from the DTC require that we state it is from Namibia, South Africa, Botswana or Canada. The diamond was lazer sliced in half in Ramat Gan, Israel in a modern cutting facility. No other work has been done on the diamond other than the lazer slicing.
Certifications : This stone was traded between borders completely in keeping with the Kimberley Process and is therefore conflict-free and does not finance violence by rebel groups seeking to undermine legitimate governments anywhere on earth.
