1.61 carat silvery and white rough diamond dodecahedron
Type of Stone : Diamond
Shape : Dodecahedron
Carats : 1.61
Measurements : 7.14 x 6.29 x 4.61mm
Color : D/E internally and a slight silvery sheen on the surface
Description : This is a very cool stone. Like some others mentioned on our site, it has a slight greyish sheen on its surface, and even some patterning near the surface, but this stone is bright white internally and, if cut, would yield a bright white flawless diamond. But we're not here to cut it, we're here to set it as is, in its beautiful raw state. This stone has black, grey and reddish patterning at its terminations, a perfectly clean and clear heart, and has a lovely proportionate shape. It's shiny and smooth which makes us think it was formed in water at some point in its formation, making it an alluvial diamond.
Source : DTC (the Diamond Trading Company), we are quite certain it is from South Africa but new provenance claim rules from the DTC require that we state it is from Namibia, South Africa, Botswana or Canada
Certifications : This stone was traded between borders completely in keeping with the Kimberley Process and is therefore conflict-free and does not finance violence by rebel groups seeking to undermine legitimate governments anywhere on earth.
