We love these octahedrons because they set so beautifully into engagement rings and have a very structured aspect to them despite being created by the earth! This stone has an underglow of green-yellow that gives it its earthy tone, but it is shiny and white and gemmy all the same.

Source : DTC (the Diamond Trading Company), we are quite certain it is from South Africa but new provenance claim rules from the DTC require that we state it is from Namibia, South Africa, Botswana or Canada
