1.53 carat gorgeous, proportional rough diamond octahedron
Type of Stone : Diamond
Shape : Octahedron
Carats : 1.53
Measurements : 7.03 x 6.87 x 5.30mm
Color : Very slight natural tinting
Description : A gorgeous almost proportional octahedron, in a slightly offset and imperfect way to make it look like a unique raw diamond. It has a shiny surface that has some indentations and crystals within it. If you look closely, then you can see small triangular crystalline structures that are growing out of the main stone. The new structures are only minimal, so they don't change the basic structure of the stone, rather they just provide intrigue and depth to the piece. It has some very light inclusions that are not clear to the eye, but give the stone some multidimensionality that is breathtaking. We like this stone for very simple settings because it is in and of itself so intriguing that the best way to celebrate it is to place it in a setting that will not overpower the stone - so, like, the Adin or Midbar would be best.
Source : DTC (the Diamond Trading Company), we are quite certain it is from South Africa but new provenance claim rules from the DTC require that we state it is from Namibia, South Africa, Botswana or Canada
Certifications : This stone was traded between borders completely in keeping with the Kimberley Process and is therefore conflict-free and does not finance violence by rebel groups seeking to undermine legitimate governments anywhere on earth.
