For domestic regular orders, it can take up to two weeks, but usually less than a week. For rush orders, then it is less than a week, usually just a few days. For international orders, we are dependent on customs processing, so it can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks depending on how fast your package makes its way through your country's customs.
In order for us to export a rough diamond, it must be accompanied by a Kimberley Certificate. This certificate is obtainable only through select shipping companies - we use Brinks - and the cost of the Kimberley Certificate combined with the courier shipping that is required of packages that contain Kimberley Certificates is approximately $300 - $400 depending on the country.
Rough diamonds can be set in jewelry and shipped internationally without a Kimberley Certificate. If you prefer this option, then please add a jewelry piece to your cart as well and we will set your rough diamond and ship without the Kimberley Certificate at a lower rate (between $0 - $100 depending on the order).
Yes, you have a 7 day window from the day that you receive your rough diamond to postmark it for return. We will check your diamond and the packaging to make sure neither have been damaged, and will refund you for your diamond less shipping costs within 2 weeks from the return.
If you are a customer who lives in the USA or purchased a piece of jewelry or purchased a gemstone, then you will not receive a Kimberley Certificate. If you are a customer outside of the US who ordered a loose rough diamond without a jewelry setting, then you will receive a Kimberley Certificate at extra cost.
Kimberley Certificates only accompany loose rough diamond exports. We ship from the US, so if you are within the United States, you will not get a Kimberley Certificate. If you live outside of the US, then you can only get a Kimberley Certificate for a loose rough diamond, not for a rough diamond that is set in jewelry or for any type of gemstone.
