We design custom jewelry in two ways:
1. From the ground up, we're creating something completely new for you
2. You've already chosen a ring design and stone you like from our site
Let's start with number 1.
First, we work directly with you via message, email or call to come up with a design that you are happy with. Occasionally we will need to source stones for you for this design as well. Once the design and the stones are chosen, we will send you a quote in the form of an invoice. Once the invoice is paid, we create a formal 3D design for you to approve. Once that is approved, we move on to building your piece. The entire process from start to finish usually takes 6-7 weeks unless stones must be custom sourced which can add a week or two.
Now for number two:
Once you've purchased the stone and the ring style you like from our site, we'll contact you to get your ring size if you have not provided that yet. We then send your stone to our studio and begin the process of creating your ring. If we have questions for you about, for example, which direction to set the stone or anything else that we might need to know, then we will contact you directly. Once the ring is complete, we ship it directly to the address you provided to us on your invoice.
We should note that in both cases, you work directly with ONE person, and that person is me! I'm Kerin. I run The Raw Stone, I purchase all the stones, and I created all the designs. I've been doing this for a decade now, and I love working with people like you!
