Description : This oblong and uniquely shaped rough diamond is a gorgeous specimen. It is very shiny on the surface, with beautiful lines making up its structure. Internally, the stone has some slight wispy inclusions (light gray matter trapped within the stone for millions of years), from far away, the inclusions are not visible and the stone simply has a silvery look to it at certain angles, but close up, you can view the inclusions clearly, and they make a beautiful pattern within the heart of the stone. We love when a diamond has a different look from far away, and then up close. It should be interesting from all directions and that is exactly what this piece has. The oblong nature of the stone makes it almost comparable to a pear shaped cut diamond when thinking about how to set the stone in a ring. It's going to make one gorgeous rough diamond engagement ring!
Source : DTC (the Diamond Trading Company), we are quite certain it is from South Africa but new provenance claim rules from the DTC require that we state it is from Namibia, South Africa, Botswana or Canada
Certifications : This stone was traded between borders completely in keeping with the Kimberley Process and is therefore conflict-free and does not finance violence by rebel groups seeking to undermine legitimate governments anywhere on earth.
