1.68 carat beautiful silvery raw diamond octahedron

Description : A beautiful salt and peppery and shiny octahedron. This stone has quite a bit of surface texturing, though the texturing is gentle and the diamond remains very smooth, upon close inspection, you can see many different crystalline structures within the stone from this texturing. This rough diamond has a wispy interior that gives it the color. The internal patterning is from chemicals and compounds trapped within the diamond during its formation hundreds of millions of years ago, and today we see these bits of matter hidden within the stone - but, in fact, they are the closest thing we can see to stardust from the time of the creation of our earth.

Source : DTC (the Diamond Trading Company), we are quite certain it is from South Africa but new provenance claim rules from the DTC require that we state it is from Namibia, South Africa, Botswana or Canada.

Certifications : This stone was traded between borders completely in keeping with the Kimberley Process and is therefore conflict-free and does not finance violence by rebel groups seeking to undermine legitimate governments anywhere on earth.
